How Reiki Changed My Life

When I was experiencing a most difficult time in my life, I was introduced to Reiki.  It was 15 years ago, and I was going through a divorce, my Mom was in the early stages of dementia and all of the challenges and heartbreak that goes with that, my brother was extremely ill with a mysterious condition, my car was stolen, my house broken into …. all happening over a span of about 12 months.

As you can imagine, I seemed to be in a constant state of worry, with my stomach in knots.  The stress was playing havoc with my body – sleepless nights, headaches, body aches, compromised immune system (catching lots colds).  A friend highly recommended Reiki, and even though I was a bit skeptical I was anxious to feel better and relieve the stress!  But after experiencing that first Reiki session I felt my body tension and overwhelm subsiding, lifting, clearing and in its place was softness and space to breathe and for my energy to flow again. I felt gently revived.

I craved that experience, and Reiki became an essential part of my dealing and healing process.  It was my lifeline, a little bit of time carved out just for me.  Time passed, I felt more and more restored and I became clear on how much of an integral part Reiki had become in my life.  I have continued to schedule a monthly Reiki session for myself.

I was always in awe of how much better I felt after each session and wanted to share this information and experience with everyone I knew!  With that in mind, I decided to take the three levels of Reiki training, and in 2006 received my Reiki Master certification.

Since then I have been offering nurturing, restful Reiki sessions to clients (www.inquietcompany.com).  This subtle, gentle practice can make a profound difference and allows you to be proactive in your healing journey.
